The JAX Squasher is a professional-grade, self-adjusting loudness maximizer designed for transparent limiting and loudness compression. Its intuitive interface allows for straightforward adjustments—simply increase the input gain or modify the threshold parameter to achieve the desired level. While its very short attack and release times can introduce harmonic distortion, this is an intentional characteristic that contributes to a transparent and musically voiced limiting process.

The plugin offers seamless compatibility across all Apple Silicon devices—iPhone, Apple Vision Pro, and Mac (M1/M2/M3/M4)—through the same AudioUnits (AUv3) platform. It supports native MacOS applications such as GarageBand, MainStage 3, and Logic Pro, with broader compatibility for other AUv3-compatible hosts supporting Apple’s standards for MIDI-enabled effects.

MIDI automation is integrated feature: users can assign MIDI controllers to parameters for dynamic control. Multiple assignments per parameter are supported, and all plugin parameters are accessible for direct AU automation.
